Gatorland opened over 70 years ago in a 110-acre tract of land in Southeast Orlando, near Kissimmee. Since then, they have been educating Central Floridians and tourists about this amazing animals and other reptile species protected in this sanctuary-turned-attraction.

While other theme parks build up the Halloween excitement around gore and horror, Disney takes a lighter and less-scary approach to enjoy the season. The annual Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is set to begin on select evenings, starting at the end of August and continuing on through early November 2019.

SeaWorld Orlando’s Halloween Spooktacular is the kind of event you can enjoy in the safety of a theme park and without having to feed candy to all your neighbors’ kids. And with SeaWorld’s annual Halloween Spooktacular running daily (yes, not an evening-only event) from September 7^th through October 27^th, 2019, you are in for a treat when you visit Orlando during this upcoming Fall Season.

The Force is Strong in Orlando and the Star Wars Universe is about to open a new spaceport in Central Florida with the new Galaxy’s Edge expansion at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Fans of the Star Wars franchise have been eagerly waiting for an official Open Date and finally, Disney has set the date for August 29^th. Work has been happening at lightspeed at the Orlando theme park, which has been preparing for the new attraction for the past few years since it was announced.

This year, HHN will feature ten haunted house experiences based on established horror brands like Rob Zombie, Hellbilly Deluxe and Zombieland. Other attractions will feature themes based on 1980s classic horror films, bringing back the fright from what some people call the “golden age” of horror films and TV shows. One such attraction is the “Anarch-ade”, an Eighties’ themed arcade where “Game Over” includes paying the ultimate price for losing.

SeaWorld Orlando is known for putting on a good show many times throughout the year and the Summer Concert Series is no different. This family-friendly music event begins on July 20^th and continues through August 11^th, 2019. All concerts are held at SeaWorld Orlando’s Nautilus Theater and offers free general admission to park visitors, but also has VIP Reserved Seating options.

Orlando has become the frontline in a worldwide battleground for theme park domination. Major theme park brands continue to add new attractions and in some cases expansion plans that can seem like a theme park of its own. That said, with a name like Fantastic Worlds you could easily think this that the rumored new theme park from Universal Studios is going to be an out-of-this-world experience.

One of the most visible changes will be seen only after dark, with the new Epcot Forever fireworks and laser light display—featuring the classic Epcot visuals that will connect to the original focus of this technology and innovation wonderland. Illuminations, the current end-of-day show at Epcot, will be officially retired in the fall to give way for the new and exciting Epcot Forever lights and pyrotechnics show.

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay continues to make waves with their new Animal Encounters experience, which lets guests get closer than ever before to this exciting species. The new coaster is expected to feature an Arctic theme, using a snowy or frozen backdrop as the main theme of the new roller coaster at SeaWorld Orlando. Furthermore, staying true to its animal life focus, the marine adventure park is expected to feature a variety of birds of prey that leave in the Arctic circle.

Constantly evolving and reinventing its existing lands, attractions and rides to keep up with the changing park attendee preferences—and technology trends—Disney’s Magic Kingdom continues to draw crowds of people of all ages who come to meet Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Donald Duck, Goofy, and the rest of Disney’s character gang.

It's been a while since the Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Hogsmeade has had an update and we are excited to share that Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at Universal's Islands of Adventure is about to open next week. This roller coaster is replacing the former Dragon Challenge and further expands the Harry Potter-themed world within this Universal Studios park. The ride is expected to be fully open by mid-June and the progress reported by visitors shows that Universal is ready to launch.

Even for those of us who have lived in Orlando for more than a couple of decades, the thought of thinking of a time when Universal’s Islands of Adventure was not yet a theme park seems distant. However, it was on May 28, 1999, that this new theme park opened its doors and changed the landscape of Orlando as a multi-theme park vacation destination. As a sibling to the Universal Orlando theme park, which opened a decade earlier, Universal’s Islands of Adventure continues to attract guests seeking to immerse in the action and suspense of classic and blockbusting movies.
