Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon at Walt Disney World Resort is a must experience water park for all ages! Typhoon Lagoon boasts the largest wave pool in North America! Pumping out 6-foot waves every 90 seconds.

In addition to various raft rides and body slides, there is a lazy river that runs throughout the park. Look up from the river and see Ms. Tilly, a shrimp boat perched upon a mountain as the icon of Typhoon Lagoon.

Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park

Disney’s Blizzard Beach is the sister waterpark to the previously mentioned Typhoon Lagoon. Famous for their 360-foot long attraction Summit Plummet. Falling at speeds up to 60 miles an hour, it’s no wonder why Summit Plummet is considered the most-thrilling attraction in Walt Disney World.

Nevertheless, there are great options for the little ones as well. Multiple areas are designated for children of various ages. Tikes Peak is perfect for preschoolers with shallow pools and mini-scale slides. Older children can enjoy the ski patrol training camp; testing their balancing skills in the pool containing frozen icebergs.

Blizzard Beach is our pick for all-around water park experiences.

Universal Studios Volcano Bay

First opening in 2017, Volcano Bay has established itself as an innovative competitor to the other parks. Using a tapu tapu system, Volcano Bay maximizes relaxation while minimizing waiting through a virtual cue system. When first checking in you will be issued a bracelet that you can scan at various stations to “get in line” virtually while “experiencing the park” in reality. The Krakatau Volcano is the centerpiece of Volcano Bay boasting multiple invigorating water slides for adrenaline seekers. The signature attraction Krakatau Aqua Coaster is a unique combination of a water slide and a roller coaster in one thrilling experience.

This is our pick for a modern, clean experience.

Sea World's Discovery Cove

To round out our picks for slippery adventure we have thrown in a very different experience at Discovery Cove. Centered around marine animal interaction, Discovery Cove allows you to interact with dolphins, fish, various birds, and even flamingos!

Further separating themselves, Discovery Cove provides a variety of snack stops paid for within your ticket price providing snacks and drinks. Furthermore, the Laguna Kitchen provides a more high-end meal featuring chimichurri steak and Caribbean-Style Salmon.

The Discovery Cove is our pick for a relaxing, wildlife experience.

Coming back to your Vista Cay home we hope you can clean up and rest well from all the fun you had at the waterparks! It is hard to go wrong with any Orlando theme park and water parks are no exception. So have fun, get wet, and try not to slip!
